As soon as you meet Emmett, you know he is not a typical real estate agent. He intently listens to what you say and answers with a straightforward earnestness. He is detailed and deliberate. Emmett doesn't see his job as selling real estate, but as a real estate advisor...using his knowledge about houses and the market to help his clients accomplish their goal.

Emmett says his 16 years as a commercial fisherman in Alaska taught him that preparation and a willingness to work hard were the keys to success.

Emmett doesn't encourage people to rush to list. He believes strongly in preparing the property before marketing it. Having worked in construction for many years Emmett has a wealth of remodeling and repair know-how that he freely shares with his clients. He knows which improvements will appeal to most buyers and which to avoid. Then, as time gets closer to the listing date and there are still little things that aren't done, Emmett rolls up his sleeves and does whatever needs doing. That dedication to his clients is why many of his new clients were referred by past clients who want their loved ones to have the same great experience they had.
